How do I Accept or Decline a

Click on the profile Id of the person you want to accept or decline. On the
profile detail of the member, you will see options to either 'Accepting' the
member or 'Declining' the member. Click on whichever your action is and you are
done!

How do I filter or prevent
certain 'type' of people from contacting me?
meraSathi.comprovides a
'Contact Filter' to filter out certain type of profiles from contacting you.
Members whose matrimonial profile does not satify this filter will not be able
to contact you or send messages. You can use this option if you are receiving
too many un-wanted messages from members.
But please make sure you define your filter properly or you will not receive
messages from anyone. Improper usage can prevent you from receiving messages
from all members.

messages to other members on

Its easy to send personalized messages and its completly FREE!
All you have to do is:

for profiles.

If you see someone you like, on their profile detail, click on 'Contact Now'
button, type in your personalized text and click on 'Contact Now' button.

Your personalized message will be emailed to the member using our messaging
system.

You can also send personalized messages to 'Accepted' members using your
'Communication' center.

Can I send personalized messages
to any member on
meraSathi.comor only to certain
members? How does this work?
If you have never contacted the member before, you can establish an 'Intial
contact' with the member with a personalized message.
Thereafter, to contact the same member again, the member you contacted MUST
accept your initial contact. If the other member decides to 'Decline' you, you
will not be able to send messages to this person again.
To check the members who have Accepted you, you can use:
Members who Accepted Me. You can send personalized messages to any
member in this list. To send messages, visit your communication center at
Communication Center and then click on
Compose Message to compose a personalized message.
Please note that if the other member has declined you, you will no longer be
able to communicate or send messages to them.

Thereafter, you can send messages to the person who you made initial contact

The
meraSathi.com messaging system
was developed to facilitate our members to communicate with each other. This
system helps and co-ordinates messages from one member to another, forwards
messages to their personal email address, stores them in the member
'Communication Center' for future reference.

How do I know if a member has
sent me any message?
We forward all messages from other members to you to your personal email
address. In addition, the message is also stored in your
InBox on our site.
To check if you have any messages, as soon as you
Login, click on My
Profile Summary.
Under the section labelled 'Your messages summary', your total message count
and unread message count will be displayed.
You can also use your communication center to check the same. Click on
My Communication Center. The section labelled 'My Message Summary' will
provide various details about your messages.

What is the 'Message Draft'
feature on
meraSathi.com? How does it work?
Message/Letter Draft
feature is provided for you to save messages that you want to save, but do not
want to send them yet.
To use draft messages,
when you compose
a message to someone, we provide a list of all the draft messages that you
saved earlier.
If you select any draft message in the list, the message you are composing will
be automatically filled by the text saved in the draft so that you do not have
to re-type the information.
You can always over-ride the text in your message even if you selected a draft
message to pre-fill the message for you.
To create draft messages now, click on

This violates the privacy of our members. If you are rejected by any member,
the only other way for you to contact this member is if the member re-accepts
you again.

Can I make an initial contact
from the 'Compose Message' link under the 'Communicate' section?
No you cannot make an 'Initial Contact' from your 'Communicate' section using
the 'Compose Message' feature.
You can compose and create a new message only to those members who have
accepted your initial contact or to those members that you have accepted their
initial contact.
Use the search option to search for members to make an initial contact.

What can I do if a member has
not responded to my initial contact? Can I contact the member again?
You are allowed to send a reminder to the member after
1days.
You will not be allowed to contact the member again before this period.

What are the different contact
statuses I see on some of the pages? What do these mean?
There are 4 types of contact status:

Open:The partner is yet to make any decision on the initial contact
that you sent

Accepted:The partner has accepted the initial contact that you made.
After this, you can send any number of personlized messages to this member.

Rejected:The partner has rejected your initial contact that you
made. No further communication with this member is possible after this point.

No Contact established yet:No initial contact has been established
between you and this member.

Can I Reply/Reject/Accept
messages from other members using my personal email address?
No, you cannot accept/reject or reply to messages directly from your personal
email address.
meraSathi.com developed
and uses a propritary messaging system that relays contacts and messages
between members without actually disclosing the members personal email
address(for privacy purposes).
However, if you want to, you can share your personal email address
information(we do not recommend you do this for security and privacy concerns)
with the other member(after initial contact has been accepted) and there after
send emails directly to the other member(provided that they gave you their
email address).
